What is Freemasonry ?

Freemasonry has been defined as “a system of morality, veiled in allegory.”

Simply stated, it is a society of men who symbolically apply the tools of “operative” masonry, to the “speculative” science of character building.

It is often said that the goal of Freemasonry is:

“To make good men better.”

Visiting Lodges is an enjoyable and interesting experience.

Visiting is an important part of Freemasonry and encouraged by Lodge Inverell and by the other Lodges in the District.

Visits to lodges outside of the District are also encouraged, as are visits to Lodges in the other States of Australia.

Freemasons are also able with a NSW & ACT Masonic travelling certificate, to enjoy the experience of visiting Overseas Masonic Lodges.
